Welcome to Bali! You'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Tanah Lot. Take in the views of the rice fields as you settle in, with the help of a welcome massage.
Your itinerary today is up to you, but try out a drive to the surf village of Canggu to take in the relaxed alternative scene and surf culture. Lounge in one of the stylish cafés, visit the shops, or take a surf lesson on Batu Balong beach.
Make your way up to Ubud via some extensive sightseeing, starting with the temple of Tanah Lot. Get on the road to Mengwi, where you'll see the royal temple of Taman Ayun and the many furry residents of the Sangeh Monkey Forest. Make one more stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Jatiluwih rice fields, known for their impressive views, before you end the day in Ubud.
Visit a traditional Balinese house for a lunchtime cooking class, where you'll learn how to combine local spices, vegetables, and other ingredients to create delicate Balinese flavors. Relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor within the garden.
In the afternoon, take a cycling tour through the surrounding fields. Follow roads and small paths through the fields and jungle, stopping in villages along the way to peruse the markets.
Trade your car for a vintage Volkswagen convertible this morning as you set off toward Sidemen. The winding roads will take you past terraced rice fields, rural villages, and rushing waterfalls, where you can request to stop for photos or just peaceful observation of the lush landscape at any time. Stop to browse Tegalalang Crafts Street before you head north to visit Kintamani and the Mount Batur volcano caldera. You'll stop for the evening in Sidemen.
Start your day with a guided walk through the rural countryside of Sidemen. You'll pass through clove, salak (snake fruit), and cacao plantations lined with tropical vegetation, seeing farmers at work and stopping at the market.
Then make your way south to Uluwatu on the Bukit Peninsula, your last destination on your trip.
Spend the last day of your trip in leisure, ideally on one of Uluwatu's many beaches. Once you've sunned sufficiently, head to the Uluwatu temple for a sunset Kecak fire show to top off your journey.
Time to wave goodbye with a transfer to the Denpasar Airport to take you home or on to your next adventure.
